People all around the world stood up and fought for this over 150 years ago. Today, we have a holiday commemorating that day but the demands of that day are still not met. They stood up 150 years ago, maybe now its time for US to pick up the gauntlet.
This is probably just what the software industry needs right now.

I think we not only need an eight-hour day but also a four-day week. What if we earn less? We will pollute less and maybe end up spending more time with loved ones and be happier... I see no point in working more to earn more, faster and then before we know it, our most important years of our life are over...

Long time no hear! It's good to see that you still make a post every now and then! I've decided to be more regular with my blog, figured it's one of the best ways to excecise my mind....! How was Rajasthan? I was there about 8-9 years ago and spent a night in the desert at Jaisalmer....divine experience!

Renu: Why?
CV: What a profound thought. I trust that myself. I just came back from a short business trip to Finland and was amazed at how chilled out things are out there. People aren't stressed and they are not in a perennial hurry all the time like us. Definitely something we could learn.
Yeah...long time!
Scars: Welcome to the group (of people who have spent a night in the desert under the stars). Yes, I havent been regular with the blog recently and I have no excuses, really. I hope to get back into the groove soon though.
Kamana: YES!! I should be blogging about Finland soon. LOL, lets see when I get down to actually doing it. How are you though? Getting anxious thinking of the monsoons in Mumbai now? :P
